Kundalini yoga is a combination of dynamic movements (kriyas), conscious breathing patterns (pranayama) and meditation which is often fused with the chanting of mantras to bring balance to the body, mind, and soul.

What is Kundalini Yoga?

“Kundalini” refers to the energy of consciousness, life force and the opening of your creative potential. Kundalini literally means “the curl of the Hair of the beloved”.

Kundalini yoga practices are often aimed at a specific outcome such as:

  • building energy

  • activation and balancing of the glandular system (i.e. thyroid, pineal and pituitary)

  • optimising metabolism

  • reducing stress

  • bringing a positive mood to the day.

There is no one definition of Kundalini but it is known as the yoga of awareness, energy, essence, rejuvenation and the play of the spirit.  

Practicing Kundalini Yoga gives you the opportunity to release energetic blockages, invigorate your spirit, mind and body and create positive change.
